Murgir Jhol/Chicken Curry

I bring to you a bowl of nourishing chicken curry. Chicken curry is a favourite Indian dish, which we eat mostly with steamed rice or sometimes with chapatis/rotis (Indian handmade flat breads). The Bengali touch in this dish are the big chunks of potatoes floating in the curry. Yes we Bengalis love starch on starch and are pretty shameless about this love of ours. In Bengali we call this murgir jhol. Happy is the table where this is served. In Kolkata if you are making this curry, it is pretty darn difficult to hide this fact from your neighbours. How? Well when this curry is being cooked, the smells of cooking spread in the entire area and the neighbours all get to know what is for dinner. In case you are tempted to make this curry, you can find the recipes here, here and here. Why not give it a try and let me know how it went?
